Trans Joy is Resistance

Silkscreen print it depicts a bitmap of a transgenderman's chest holding flowers. One flower is a hydrangea the other is a lily. he has not had top surgery and his chest and arm hair is redefined by lineart. the text trans joy is resistance sits on top. two angels with moth wings bend down to touch the flowers on both top corners. The angels are naked, the one on the right is a trans woman with breasts and a penis, the figure on the left is a trans man with breast and a vulva. there are two bitmaps of peace lillies one of the stamen is short, they resemble transgender genitalia. finally there is a trans flag banner on the top of the piece the colours of the flag (blue pink and white) are used throughout the print.

I made this print for my silkscreen class! The theme was resistance; I wanted to focus on self and communal love as resistance. I used 6 stencils for this it look me so long but it was worth it. I plan on making more prints in a non-binary flag colourway.
